How you opt in to BoxBid texts

Text updates are optional. On the boxbid.io sign-up form, next to the mobile phone field, there is a box that is not ticked by default. Members who want text updates tick it. Members who leave it unticked still create their account; we only text them a one-time code when they ask for one.

The words next to the box, for brands:

"SMS Terms" links to www.boxbid.io/sms-terms and "Privacy Policy" links to www.boxbid.io/privacy. We keep a record of each member's choice: when they ticked the box, from which IP address and the exact words shown.

boxbid.io sign-up, first step: email or mobile phone field. Under it: the code does not sign you up for any other texts.
Step 1: the member types an email or a mobile number. A one-time code confirms the number and does not sign them up for any other texts.

Step 2: the details (shown for a brand, with example details). The "Text me deal updates (optional)" box is unticked until the member ticks it.
