Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
Boxbid Inc. ("BoxBid", "we", "us") runs boxbid.io, a marketplace where brands sponsor pro boxers, podcasts and fight nights, and where fans follow fighters, play games and buy merchandise. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to www.boxbid.io and our related services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile phone number, password and month and year of birth (so we can confirm you are 13 or older).
- Brand accounts: company name, your job title, work email and company logo.
- Fighter, podcast and promoter applications: details such as your fighter or show name, BoxRec ID, promotion name and title.
- Addresses: shipping and billing addresses.
- Activity: offers, bids, sponsorships, orders, messages to us and content you post, such as comments, boxing posts, photos and videos.
- Text message choices: whether you agreed to text updates, when, and the wording you agreed to.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited details, such as the card brand, the last four digits and the payment status.
Information collected automatically
When you use boxbid.io we collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location based on IP address, pages viewed and actions taken, using cookies and similar technologies.
Information from other sources
- When a brand signs up with a work email, we may look up public business information for that company, such as its name, logo and brand colors.
- When you type an address, address suggestions come from Google.
- Fighter profiles may include public fight records (for example from BoxRec) and public social media statistics.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, including confirming your mobile number with a one-time code.
- To run the marketplace: process orders, offers, bids and sponsorships, ship merchandise, and handle sponsorship payments, which are secured in escrow and released once the deal is delivered.
- To send you service emails, such as receipts and shipping updates, and text updates if you have agreed to them.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
- To understand how boxbid.io is used and improve it.
- To send news and offers by email, if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
3. Text messages (SMS)
BoxBid sends two kinds of text messages:
- One-time codes, only when you ask for one, for example to confirm your mobile number when you sign up. A code does not sign you up for any other texts.
- Text updates, only if you tick the optional "Text me updates" box: account notifications such as order and shipping updates, sponsorship and offer updates for brands, and replies from our team about your account or deal.
Agreeing to text updates is never required to create an account or to buy anything.
- Message frequency varies with your account activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
- Our full SMS terms are at www.boxbid.io/sms-terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that help us provide our services, such as our text message provider and customer support. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. How we share information
- With other members, to make a deal happen. For example, when a brand makes an offer, the fighter's team sees the company name, the contact's name and the offer. Public profile information is visible to everyone.
- With service providers that work for us, such as payment processing (Stripe), text messages (Twilio), address lookup (Google), shipping carriers, email delivery and hosting (Amazon Web Services). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, or to protect the rights, property and safety of BoxBid, our members or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared, as described in section 3.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, protect against fraud and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of boxbid.io may not work without them.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account details in your account at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account by emailing info@boxbid.io. We may keep some records where the law requires it, for example for tax purposes.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Depending on where you live, for example in California or Nevada, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email info@boxbid.io. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
7. Children
boxbid.io is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep your information for as long as your account is active and afterwards as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or on the site.
